Modern Apprenticeships are a great way to start your career.

As well as gaining work experience and a qualification.

What is a modern apprenticeship? For anyone who is 16-19. A modern apprentice is employed and works towards a qualification with a college or learning provider.

It’s a nationally recognised training programme, which combines practical work experience with a nationally recognised qualification

It will help you to develop a career in your chosen field by:

 

• Giving you  a period of employment to acquire skills to actually do the job,
• Gain qualifications, usually a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ)
• Develop core skills such as communication, ICT and numeracy
• Gain additional industry-specific qualifications
