Pupil Care and Support (PCS)

School & Pupil Support Assistant - Miss Tracey Westland

Responsibilities:

Your child's PT PCS teacher is your first point of contact within the school. They provide support with any concerns regarding school, friends or home.

PT PCS operates as your child's Named Person under the 'Getting it Right for Every Child' (GIRFEC) government scheme. This provides the service for children and families to access advice, support or extra help they may require.

PT PCS also help at key transition points, for example, Primary to Secondary transfer or application to college, employment or university.

 

Curriculum:

PCS teachers are responsible for delivering the Personal and Social Education (PSE) programme. This provides pupils with knowledge and understanding of Health and Wellbeing experiences and outcomes within third level and senior phase of Curriculum for Excellence. Pupils will also focus on literacy and numeracy.
